NHP Ch. 3: Finders     Roger didn't even open his eyes as he stretched.  He had slept well, better than he had since December and far better than he ever could on an airplane.  He opened his eyes, glanced at his watch, and smiled: it was nearly twelve-thirty in the afternoon; he had slept for over four hours.  It didn't completely make up for the sleep he lost last night, but it would be good enough.
    Roger sat up and scratched his head.  The blinds were closed, but some light managed to get through the fabric and partially illuminate the room: it was a bit cramped for two people, and obviously hadn't been used in a few weeks at least.  The smell of must e
NHP Ch. 2: New Frontiers     Roberta had gotten five hours of sleep in the medical ward before returning to her on-base housing to pack.  There really was not much for Roberta to pack: a few articles of clothing, a couple pairs of shoes, and two photographs—one of she and Ian on their wedding day, and the other of those that founded the Foreman Project from fifteen years ago.  Everything was packed, save for that last picture; she was still looking over the six people in the photo.
    The six people in the photo had been sworn to secrecy, under the threat of being charged with treason if they broke their silence. On the far left of the group was Roberta herself,
NHP Ch. 1: Reintroduction     It had taken two hours longer than he had anticipated even after stopping in the remnants of Manila.  Roger could not help but be relieved as he pulled up to the parking lot of the Comfort Inn in Craig, Colorado, Texas.  He had basically been driving non-stop since finding Zoe in the snow, and it was a good thing he had: half an hour after picking her and her robot up, a snowstorm cut down from the north and slowed his driving to a crawl; had she been out in that, she probably would be dead.

This was taken over at the Painted Tree on the Campus of SUNY Geneseo in Geneseo, NY. Someone spilled glitter the night before, I saw this and thought: This is too good to pass up. So I got my camera and snapped a picture. I then proceded to MoPo-ize it using a MoPo generator (I know, I cheated, shut up) and Voila! a new and highly original concept! (sarcasm)
